DBT Opportunities
DBT can be provided in a range of formats. Please see the descriptions below to design your DBT journey.

DBT Curious
This class is designed specifically for clients who are curious about DBT and want more information on how to get started. This is your first stop on your DBT journey to determine your next steps.
DBT Skills Training Only
DBT Skills Training is where you learn the skills needed for effective change in your life. Change can look like change in the traditional sense and it can also look like learning to change your relationship something uncomfortable. Once a week, you will participate in a group where you will learn skills from the following 4 Skills Modules:
-
Mindfulness to increase ability to be present with life as it is
-
Emotion Regulation to increase ability to regulate your emotions effectively
-
Interpersonal Effectiveness to improve relationships
-
Distress Tolerance to slow reactivity and create space for new, wise minded action
Please note that skills are best learned in the wild and need to be practiced outside of group. Homework will be assigned after each group to be practice between sessions.

DBT Individual Therapy Only
DBT individual therapy is considered an add on for DBT Skills Training to support the application of skills to your specific goals. Increased ability to observe yourself can aid in effective shifts toward your goals. Individual DBT practices this skill weekly through Diary Cards; information you compile about yourself during the week will inform the topics for individual therapy. This means less forgetting details, clarity in individual sessions about your needs, and clear pathways to solutions. Sign me up for that please!

Please note: Individual DBT therapy can be done:
-
in addition to Skills Training as a part of Full Model DBT
-
stand alone following Full Model DBT
-
DBT "light" which loosely applies DBT principles and skills
